Saumort is paradise for horses and horse-lovers alike.

We have a small selection of well trained and well loved horses and ponies who would love to show you around the beautiful French countryside. Children (and grown-ups!) staying in the farmhouse are also welcome to come and help groom and learn about horses each morning during their visit. If you live or are staying nearby you are welcome to come riding with us, too - do please contact us for more information.

Horses are our passion and we believe in giving our horses a natural way of life and in handling them in a way they find easy to understand. All our horses live out all year round giving them a very relaxed attitude to life. They are all chosen carefully for their calm, yet willing, temperaments.

Sarah, who is in charge of the horses, is a British Horse Society instructor (BHSAI(ISM)) and has taught riding for 20 years. We aim to give our horses a home for life and put a great deal of effort into getting to know their personality and strengths/weaknesses in life.
